Rupert is an English barrister, uniquely with a D.Phil (PhD) in economics and finance, and extensive economics and financial markets practitioner and magic circle legal experience.

Rupert has particular interest and expertise in legal cases where clients want and need to get the right economic and financial outcomes (-so are highly numbers-focused) -as well as getting the right legal solutions.

Divorce case assistance- all aspects including independent advice for professional and entrepreneurial and HNWI / UHNWI and international family spouses, often v rogue spouses, with estimated family assets at risk from £1m up to £100m+, re: divorce avoidance if possible and divorce risk analysis, pre-nup / post-nup agreements and divorce risk hedging, jurisdiction analysis and selection, optimal solicitor and barrister and experts selection and change, accurate asset valuations including for complex illiquid and intangible and family assets, asset tracing and hidden asset location, assistance with settlement negotiations and agreements and court pleadings.

2. Competition disputes- all aspects including class actions, funding, pricing, quantum & damages- helping lawyers persuade on: theories of harm, economics & econometrics and financial modelling, technical drafting, expert witness management and x-exam, identifying good and bad LFAs and LFA + ATE terms, evidence and time scope, model results strength and weakness analysis, OLS regression, platforms and algorithms
